IELTS TEST STRUCTURE
The four levels that the candidates are test for in the IELTS Test are Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The listening and the speaking sections are the same for all candidates, but the reading and writing sections are different for the candidates depending on whether they choose to take the Academic or the General training option. Those who wish to follow higher education are required to tae the Academic option while those aspiring for work experience or immigration purposes need to take the General Training.
The Listening, Reading & Writing Sections of the IELTS Test have to be completed in one day. All three of these sections are administered in the morning. The Speaking Section can be taken seven days before or after the other three sections as directed by the test center. If the candidate wishes to tae the speaking section on the same day it would be conducted at a separate venue in the afternoon.
